Everything Coming in the New VALORANT Act: Agent Miks, Map Rotation Changes & Knockout Mode
As the next VALORANT season approaches, more details about the upcoming Act update have started to emerge. A new agent, map rotation changes, a brand-new game mode, and a new weapon bundle are all expected to arrive in the next update. Here’s everything we currently know about the next VALORANT Act.
New Agent: Miks
One of the biggest additions in the upcoming season is Miks, a new Controller agent rumored to be from Croatia.
Based on leaked information, Miks appears to bring a unique mix of team support and map control abilities, making the agent quite different from traditional controllers. Some of the abilities reportedly include:
- A Combat Stim ability that can buff teammates
- A device that sends out sound waves to either heal allies or concuss enemies
- A map-targeted smoke ability for controlling key areas
- A powerful ultimate that knocks back, slows, and deafens enemies
Map Rotation Changes
The new season will also introduce changes to the competitive map rotation.
Maps leaving the rotation:
- Abyss
- Corrode
Maps returning to the pool:
- Fracture
- Lotus
New Game Mode: Knockout
A brand-new mode called Knockout is also expected to arrive in the upcoming update. According to early details:
- The mode will be 5v5
- It will be played on Team Deathmatch maps
- It introduces a revive mechanic
The most interesting feature of Knockout is the revive system. Each time a player eliminates an opponent, one of their teammates is revived, which could lead to fast-paced and chaotic matches.
New Bundle: Blackthron Bundle
A new bundle called Blackthron is expected to arrive in the store alongside the new season. The Blackthron bundle features a dark, rose-themed design, giving the weapons a stylish and elegant aesthetic. The bundle is expected to include skins for:
- Vandal
- Guardian
- Marshal
- Classic
- Melee
When Does the New VALORANT Act Start?
According to current information, the VALORANT V26 Act 2 update is expected to release globally on March 18, 2026. With the new Act, players are expected to see:
- The new agent Miks
- Map rotation changes
- The new Knockout game mode
- New Bundle
